Mario Kleff is an architect, designer and businessman who was born on November 21, 1967 in Boppard, Germany. Mario Kleff is a businessman in Thailand. Since 2002 he has been working internationally as an architectural designer and engineer. From 1997 to 2001 Mario Kleff was creative director and art director in Germany. In the early 1990s, after studying art, Mario Kleff created performance art and fine art. Mario Kleff has re-created pages of the Book of Kells.
The most imporatnt buildings by the architect Mario Kleff are the Wong Amat Tower, the Mario Kleff - The Touch®, the Park Royal 2 and the Japanese House. These are the first buildings in Pattaya to incorporate new engineering and construction technologies in 2008-2010.
Mario Kleff - The Touch® is the first recognized and approved residential high-rise in Thailand with only two supporting pillars. Mario Kleff - The Touch® integrates the most modern technologies, from construction to electronic features and systems. It was designed and engineered by architect Mario Kleff. Construction started in late 2011. Mario Kleff - The Touch® is a design statement and it was the first real estate development by the Wandeegroup.
The Wong Amat Tower is one of the first modern high-rise buildings in Pattaya. The originally proposed design was an earthquake-proof steel frame construction with cellular beams. The building was designed and engineered by the architect Mario Kleff. The previously planned steel frame was later revised and replaced by reinforced concrete columns and post-tensioned concrete slabs. The Wong Amat Tower became a simple concrete frame structure. Construction started in 2011 and was completed in 2015.
Park Royal 2 is the first multi-storey residential building in Thailand with post-tensioned concrete slabs on long-span cellular beams. The Park Royal 2 was designed and engineered by Mario Kleff. Construction began in 2010 and was completed in 2012.
The Japanese House is the first brutalist villa in Pattaya with a long-span beam construction of over 20.00 meters between columns. The Japanese House was designed and engineered by Mario Kleff. Construction began in 2008 and was completed in 2009.
Mario Kleff is the CEO of Wandeegroup Asia Co Ltd and Wandee Real Estate & Services Co Ltd. Mario Kleff designs skyscrapers and high-rise buildings such as the Wong Amat Tower and The Touch®, resorts, villas as well as houses and public buildings. From 2002 to 2021, Mario Kleff designed well over 150 unique buildings, with approval, in Thailand and abroad, including 9 high-rise buildings with a maximum height of 278 meters or 65 floors.*

Mario Kleff runs a construction company, the Wandeegroup. Mario Kleff has been involved in the construction of Pattaya with at least 10 apartment blocks and numerous villa projects since 2004. After a five-year break, Mario Kleff returned to the construction business in 2021 with the construction of new villas. From 2007 to 2015, over 50 blocks of flats were designed by architect Mario Kleff including boutique condominiums such as South Beach and Laguna Heights.

Only Thai citizens can register as a licensed architect in Thailand. Mario Kleff is a Thai citizen and has not yet been registered as a licensed architect, although he was recommended for an honorary degree in architecture in 2010 by Pichet Uthaiwattananota (Thai: พิเชษฐ อุทัยวัฒนานนท์) director of the Pattaya City Building Authority from 2006-2011. Kleff later became known through Songkiat Matupayont, who recommended Mario Kleff for an honorary doctorate in engineering in 2011 for his work on Park Royal 2 and The Touch®. Mario Kleff received the work permit (work permit No. 1134/47) as an architectural designer, engineer and construction manager in relation with Wandee Real Estate & Services Co Ltd and Wandeegroup (Thailand) Co Ltd in 2004. The work permit No. 1134/47 legitimizes Kleff to plan and build all kinds of buildings.
Mario Kleff is known for recreating the 'Book of Kells', designing and building bespoke cars and motorcycles including the 'Mod Dam 1199 R', the 'Vespa 155', the 'Purple Rain', the 'Thailand Dragon', the 'Black Mamba' and the legendary 'Mario Kleff ᛋᛋ bobber 卐', and to develop high-performance motorcycle engines with Big CC Racing the 'Super Mario Hayabusa', with Hyperformance the '222 Street Pro Motor or Thailand Dragon 222'. Mario Kleff shares a life with leopards, his companions Fasai and Typhoon.
In 2015 Mario Kleff witnessed the birth of two leopards in Thailand, which he later named Fasai and Typhoon. Shortly after birth, it had to be decided how to handle these young animals, because time and responsibility are factors that influence everyday working life. Mario Kleff decided to adopt Fasai and Typhoon under his personal care. Since then, the two leopards have lived together as his companions. Mario Kleff provided Fasai and Typhoon with a personal veterinarian who specialized in big cats and sent a team of Wandeegroup employees to South Africa for training and comprehensive information on how to handle leopards in domestication and healthcare. In order to get the best out of their life, Mario Kleff lived together with Fasai and Typhoon for over a year outdoors in Northern Thailand.
Mario Kleff worked as art director and later creative director and designed corporate campaigns and designs for Audi, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, Siemens AG and Vogue. In the 1990s, Kleff worked for over ten PR and advertising agencies, including BBDO and Hakuhodo Germany. Mario Kleff ended his career at the end of 2001 at New Econ AG, Munich, as creative director and member of the board.
No sculptures and no paintings by Kleff available. Mario Kleff only appeared in Munich, Praterinsel, 1999 and Vienna, Stephansplatz, 1999, with 'Art Is Dead', 'Do Ut Des' and 'Human Being Is Art'.
Nittaya Wongsin is the spouse of Mario Kleff.
Mario Kleff has five children, namely Jiang Li Wongsin, Banù Çaĝiran, Lale Çaĝiran, Tara Arabella de Buitléir, Miró Dollinger (†).
Mario Kleff is the second grandson of Christel Kühn and Heinz Hentrich. Christel and her first husband Friedrich Kleff were active participants in the Hitler Youth, the youth movement of the NSDAP. Friedrich was a member of the Hitler Youth, while Christel was a group leader, a leader in her female equivalent, the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM). Friedrich later became a storm band leader or major in the Schutzstaffel, better known as the SS. Mario Kleff is aware of the anti-Semitic movement, the admiration for the Holocaust in the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler, but he does not support Nazi ideology and programme. What impressed Mario Kleff were Heinrich Himmler´s military strategies and Joseph Goebbels´ propaganda concept, and as a designer, Mario Kleff likes all the Nazi graphics and symbols. "I love the swastika, the uniforms, and I even love the women dressed in a military style." Mario Kleff worked as a marketing designer and art director in Bavaria in the late 1990s. In Pattaya, from 2007-2010, Mario Kleff designed a number of buildings for Jewish real estate developers as an architect. His parents Heinrich and Adelheid Kleff were not associated with any neo-Nazi movements or activities.
Mario Kleff likes the symbols that were used in the 3rd Reich, most of them were used before the Nazi regime. The K-R-I-T Motor Car Company has marked its cars and giveaway with the swastika, as has Mario Kleff. His most legendary creation is the ᛋᛋ Bobber 卐 with a racing engine, 155 cubic inches.
